採用内定者向け注意事項（海外の大学の学位取得証明書について）
Important notices for provisional recipients: Degree certificate from a university outside Japan

特別研究員-PDは採用年度4月1日時点で博士の学位を取得していることが採用要件であり、採用手続において期日までに学位取得証明書の提出が必要ですが、海外の大学での学位の取得日が令和8(2026)年4月2日以降となるケースでは、学位を授与する大学による「令和8(2026)年4月1日までに博士の学位を授与することが決定している」旨の証明（文書）が期日までに提出された場合には、学位取得証明書が交付されるまでの間、学位取得証明書の提出を猶予します。
国によって状況が異なるため、どのような書類が「学位を授与する大学による、令和8(2026)年4月1日までに博士の学位を授与することが決定している旨の証明（文書）」に相当するかについては、申請者（採用内定者）や申請機関担当者がご自身のお考えのみで判断しないようお願いいたします。「申請に関するＱ＆Ａ」1-13をご確認の上、それでも不明な点がある場合は、必ず事前に本会までお問い合わせください。

For the Research Fellowship for Young Scientists (PD), a Ph.D. must be awarded by April 1st of the fellowship year. Applicants are required to submit their degree certificate by the specified deadline as part of the application process. However, if the Ph.D. is awarded by a university outside Japan after April 2nd, 2026, applicants may submit a certificate from the awarding university stating that the degree is 'scheduled to be awarded by April 1st, 2026.' In this case, the submission of the official degree certificate can be deferred until it is issued.
Since the situation and rules regarding degree certificates vary by country, applicants (or the relevant contact at the applying institution) should not make their own judgment about which documents qualify as a certificate from the awarding university stating that the Ph.D. degree is scheduled to be awarded by April 1st, 2026.
