The JSPS Alumni Club in Sweden (or “SAC” for short) was established in 2005 by former JSPS fellows with the support of the JSPS overseas office in Stockholm, Sweden. It was the first JSPS alumni association in northern Europe. Activities include seminars organized by the members with invited Japanese speakers, board/general assembly meetings and the yearly Sweden-Japan Academic Network that is held in collaboration with JSPS Stockholm Office, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (KVA) and the Embassy of Japan in Sweden.
