Activities in FY2022

  • Nobel Laureate S&T Seminar Series (2nd Seminar) (17 May 2022)
 
  • 12 th India-Japan S&T Seminar conducted during 9-10, September at the University of Hyderabad, India, was a grand success.
We had conducted the 12th India-Japan Science and Technology Conclave International Conference on Frontier Areas of Science and Technology (ICFAST-2022) - India-Japan Nobel Laureate Lecture Series (3rd  Seminar) during 9-10 September 2022.
This seminar was organized by the Indian JSPS Alumni Association (IJAA) (www.indianjspsalumni.org) and the University of Hyderabad ((https://www.uohyd.ac.in/) under the celebration of 70 th Anniversary of India-Japan Diplomatic Relations and 75 th Anniversary of Indian Independence, Supported by: Embassy of India, Embassy of Japan, DST (India), JST (Japan) and
Sponsored by: Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), Japan, and University of Hyderabad, India.
More than 500 participants attended the seminar, with 264 poster presentations by researchers, and 38 scientific talks, including 2 Keynote talks delivered through 2 parallel sessions. During the seminar we conducted, "Igniting Minds," the program allowed the selected about 50 School students to actively interact with Japanese Scientists and Indian Scientists.
This event was jointly inaugurated by Hon'ble Ambassadors of both India H. E. Mr. Sanjay Kumar Verma, and Japan H. E. Mr. Satoshi Suzuki. Mr. Sugino Tsuyoshi, President, JSPS, delivered the talk as the guest of honor.
Prof. Ryoji Noyori (Nobel laureate) provided Keynote Address from the Japanese side, and Prof. Ravindra Kumar, TIFR provided a Keynote address from the Indian side.
During the seminar, we conducted cultural programs, 22 Japanese University booths, an Introduction about different scholarship programs by JSPS, JST, NEDO etc.
