Signing ceremonies and meetings with overseas counterpart institutions held in October

Japan Society of Promotion of Science has collaborative memorandums with academic institutions and scientific research councils in foreign countries to promote diverse international scientific exchanges between Japan and those countries.
On October 4-7, 2024, JSPS held signing ceremonies of Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) with The Royal Society, Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), German Research Foundation (DFG), and Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).

JSPS has affirmed with all these institutions that they will strengthen their cooperation in international scientific exchange programs based on the signed memorandums of cooperation and will continue to further promote joint projects.
At the STS Forum (external website), held from October 6 to 8, JSPS held meetings with numerous foreign institutions. The meetings were productive, with discussions held on research initiatives and issues in Japan and in their countries and institutions.
