R025 Committee on Development of Advanced Functional Thin Films and Interfaces

Aims and Goals

This committee will create new features and technologies by actively learning bio-system inspired "fluctuations/Yuragi" to address the explosive argument of energy consumption and amount of information issues in the electronics fields. We are aiming for that, the idea of overturning the idea of working people to consider "heat fluctuation" was a "nuisance " until now, as energy from the environment and utilizing the signal amplification ability and actively utilizing it. We aim to realize ultra-sensitive, ultra-high-performance, ultra-low power consumption devices and sensors through the synergistic effect of the thin films, interface process and evaluation technology.

Research Themes

Development of Advanced Functional Thin Films and Interfaces for
  • Processing technology of thin films and interfaces
  • Physical properties and functionalities of thin films and interfaces
  • Observation and analysis for thin films and interfaces
  • Applications of thin films and interfaces
  • Education and incubation technology of thin films and interfaces for young researchers and engineers etc.

Especially, learning form the bio-inspired “Yuragi” function for realizing high sensitivity, high functionality and high efficiency.
