Frontiers of Science (FoS) Symposium is a lodge-style international Symposium for up-and-coming young scientists from Japan and other countries to engage in interdisciplinary discussions on cutting-edge scientific topics. The aims of FoS are to foster leaders for the next generations and to create networks that connect the young researchers with the world's leading scientists. The Japanese-American-German Frontiers of Science (JAGFOS) Symposium is a joint initiative of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS), the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH) and JSPS.

The 6th JAGFOS Symposium featured presentations on six cutting-edge topics, each followed by lively Q&A sessions. More information about the session topics and the participating researchers can be found on the following web page.
