The 20th JSPS Prize and Japan Academy Prize Award Ceremony Held in Tokyo

The Award Ceremony of the 20th JSPS Prize and Japan Academy Award was held at Meiji Kinenkan in Tokyo on March 7, 2024. The Ceremony was attended by Their Imperial Highnesses Prince and Princess Akishino, MEXT State Minister Dr. IMAEDA Soichiro, representing MEXT Minister Dr. MORIYAMA Masahito, as well as distinguished guests from all walks of Japanese society, and was a resounding success.
The JSPS Prize aims to raise the level of scientific research in Japan to the world's highest standards by identifying and recognizing young researchers with rich creativity and outstanding research abilities at the early stages of their careers, thereby stimulating their research motivation and providing support for the advancement of their research work. This year, the Prize was awarded to 25 young researchers who are expected to be the future leaders of scientific research in Japan.
