JSPS Overseas Offices

JSPS has 11 liaison offices in 10 countries.

Function of JSPS Overseas Offices

  • Liaise with overseas counterpart research-promotion organizations
  • Hold symposiums
  • Support alumni networks formed among former participants in JSPS programmes
  • Disseminate information on scientific trends in Japan and gather similar information from the host countries

Each JSPS Overseas Offices consists of a Director, Deputy Director, International Programme Associate* and local staff.
＊International Programme Associate
JSPS offers 2-year internship to staff from universities and research institutions as International Programme Associate for acquiring experiences in carrying out international programmes.
