The WPI Program Committee meets annually to ascertain the state of project progress and recommend improvements when necessary.
Follow-up Process
- At Follow-up Meetings, the Program Committee interviews the center directors and the heads of the host institutions and receives a report from the Program Officers assigned to each project.
- When deemed necessary, the Committee prepares a list of aspects that require improvement and conveys it to the subject center(s).

Results of questionnaire surveys
- This survey polled scientists around the world with regard to the five research centers selected under WPI Program in FY2007 in connection with the follow-up activities. The results are as follows:
