Follow-up

The WPI Program Committee meets annually to ascertain the state of project progress and recommend improvements when necessary.

Follow-up Process

Follow-up Process
  • At Follow-up Meetings, the Program Committee interviews the center directors and the heads of the host institutions and receives a report from the Program Officers assigned to each project.
  • When deemed necessary, the Committee prepares a list of aspects that require improvement and conveys it to the subject center(s).

One PD and five POs (one for each center) have been assigned by JSPS to conduct the follow-up activities.

Working Group

  • With the assigned PO as its chair, a working group for each center has been established under the Program Committee.
  • Each group comprises about 5-6 specialists in the subject field. As a rule, about half of them are overseas members.
