The program is outsourced to the following organizations, selected through open solicitation and other means.
The Participating Institution (Headquarters) has knowledge and experience in the operation of data archives (repositories and others) for the humanities and social sciences and will proactively operate JDCat, which has been created in the Program for Constructing Data Infrastructures for the Humanities and Social Sciences. The Participating Institution will also be responsible for the coordination of related organizations and will play a central role in the overall operation of the Program.

The Participating Institution (Information System) is responsible for the operation and improvement of JDCat with respect to the information system and provides technical support to the Participating Institutions in cooperation and collaboration with the Participating Institution (Headquarters).

Participating Institutions will contribute, based on their expertise in preserving and sharing data in their specialized fields of humanities and social sciences, to the further enhancement and strengthening of scientifically usable data by providing JDCat with the metadata they create for the data in their archives as well as for the data which are associated with other relevant institutions.
