ADMINISTRATIVE REPORT
This report summarizes activities of the United States-Japan Cooperative Cancer Research Program for the Japanese Fiscal Year 1983, the period between April 1, 1983 and March 31, 1984.
The Program consists of the following program areas:

The names of the Program Coordinators and Principal Advisors appointed by the implementing agencies appear in pages 126-127.
The types of activities supported under the auspices of the Program are (1) seminars, (2) exchange of scientists, and (3) exchange of materials. The table presented below indicates the activities of each program area during this reporting period, and the following chapter of “Program Area Report” describes in detail the objectives, achievements and future plans for each program area.
To discuss policy matters and program activities, the Joint Steering Committee of the Program meets once every year. Following the first meeting in San Francisco on May 24-25, 1979, the second meeting in Nara on June 10-11, 1980, the third meeting in Annapolis on June 1-2, 1981 and the fourth meeting in Tokyo on May 31-June 1, 1982, the fifth and sixth meetings were held in Honolulu on June 9-10, 1983 and in Tokyo on Feb. 13-1 4, 1 984 (extraordinary), respectively.
