 Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (B) Grant-in-Aid for Early-Career Scientists Fund for the Promotion of Joint International Research (International Leading Research, Fostering Joint International Research,International Collaborative Research and Home-Returning Researcher Development Research) Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C) Grant-in-Aid for Research Activity Start-up Grant-in-Aid for Young Scientists (B) Purposes  The research grants for Multi-year Funds are budgeted at one time, so for funded research projects planned for amulti-year period, JSPS makes the provisional grant decision and the official grant decision on a research grant forthe entire research period in the first year.（As with the research period, the period of the funded project is more than one fiscal year） By bringing forward the request for the research grant that was originally scheduled to be used in the next fiscalyear or later, the research grant can be used in accordance with the progress of the research. Unused research grants may be used in the next fiscal year and beyond within the period of the funded projectwithout having to follow the carry-over procedures in advance. During the period of the funded project, goods can be purchased over multiple fiscal years.As for FY2024, the research categories funded by the Multi-year Fund are as follows: Grant-in-Aid for Challenging Research (Pioneering / Exploratory) Grant-in-Aid for JSPS Fellows  Grant-in-Aid for Special  Even if a funded research project is planned for a multi-year period, the provisional grant decisionand the official grant decision on the research grant for the Series of Single-year Grants will bemade only for the relevant fiscal year.
