the continuation offunding,Researchers need to go through the necessary procedures in advancefor changing the allocation to each cost item if the amount of the changeexceeds fifty percent of the total amount of the direct expense (*) (or,when fifty percent of the direct expense is three million yen or less, up tothree million yen).Applicants should be careful about what cases fall under addition orremoval of a Co-Investigator. For example, changing a Co-Investigator toa Collaborating Researcher participating on the same research teamamounts to removal of a Co-Investigator.Researchers can flexibly extend the funded research period based onthe length of time the funded research was suspended due to researchstay abroad, etc.If the applicant moves to other research institution that is not eligible forreceiving KAKENHIthe research usingKAKENHI funding will not be permitted.The Multi-year Fund can be extended for a period of one year (*) bygoing through the procedures for the acceptance of extension of thefunded project during the last year of the project.
