【When conducting research with KAKENHI】Evenifafundedresearchprojectisplannedforamulti-yearperiod,theprovisionalgrantdecisionandtheofficialgrantdecisionontheresearchgrantfortheSeriesofSingle-yearGrantswillbemadeonlyfortherelevantfiscalyear.(Theperiodofthefundedprojectisasinglefiscalyear(oneyear))Ifthefundedprojectisnotexpectedtobecompletedforunavoidablereasonsthatcouldnotbeanticipatedatthetimeoftheofficialgrantdecision,theresearchgrantcanbecarriedovertothenextfiscalyearforuseafterfollowingcarryoverapplicationprocedures.Therearenorestrictionsonparallelgrantapplicationsbetweenanon-goingresearchprojectforByusingtheAdjustmentFunds,Single-yearGrantscanbeusedaheadofscheduleorinthenext（Aswiththeresearchperiod,theperiodofthefundedprojectismorethanonefiscalyear）Theresearchgrantscanbeusedaheadofschedulebasedontheprogressoftheresearch.Duringtheperiodofthefundedproject,theresearchgrantscanbecarriedovertothenextfiscalDuringtheperiodofthefundedproject,goodscanbepurchasedovermultiplefiscalyears.Grant-in-Aid for Young Grant-in-Aid for Challenging Grant-in-Aid for Scientific FundforthePromotionofJointInternationalResearch(InternationalLeadingResearch,FosteringJointInternationalResearch,InternationalCollaborativeResearch,Home-ReturningResearcherDevelopmentResearchandInternationalActivitiesSupportingGroup)As the official grant decision is made for each fiscal year, research grants must be used by the end of each fiscal year.
