○ Depending on the research category, research funds are allocated through the Series of Single-year Grants, under which research funds will be provided as grants each single fiscal year, or through the Multi-year Funds, under which research funds for multiple years will be provided in lump sum. Accordingly, the spending rules on these grants differ.
