10.Summary of Research Results
|
This project proposed 'A New Paradigm Of Technology Integration' and development of its methodologies and implementation. Since the global sustainability issues have been widely recognized, it is required that the technology framework for producing artifacts should be assessed for their whole life cycle as well as product life cycle assessment. Existing technology framework which gathers element technologies is hardly applicable for this purpose. As multiple viewpoints of process design and operation, such as safety, environmental impact, productivity, cost and so on need many different technologies, it is very difficult to integrate them together. In addition, as existing engineering framework is performed with cascading strategy, it requires a number of workload for trial and error approach and it is obliged to produce results that are different from ideal solutions. This project aimed to develop concurrent/collaborative engineering environment for supporting life cycle engineering, especially for production plant life cycle which included: ・Proposal of Concept of Multi-Dimensional Formalism (MDF), which is composed of plant structure, behavior and operation information models and its implementation methods, ・Development of methodologies for sharing information and information integration, ・Establishment of engineering activity model for process design and operations to ensure that process safety is established. ・Total approaches to Risk-based safety design from process hazard assessment to operation support system design. ・Development of inheritance methodology of process design and operational design rationales. |
