ADMINISTRATIVE REPORT

This report summarizes activities of the US-Japan Cooperative Cancer Research Program for the Japanese Fiscal Year 1988, the period between April 1, 1988 and March 31, 1989.
The Program consists of the following program areas:

I. Etiology
II. Biology and Diagnosis
III. Treatment
IV. Interdisciplinary

The US-Japan Bilateral Agreement calls for the exchange of scientists, the exchange of materials, and the organization of seminars and workshops. Detailed discussions of these activities will be reported under specific program areas. The tables compiled in this section represent overall summaries for quick review. They should be self-explanatory. To discuss policy matters and program activities, the Joint Steering Committee of the Program meets once every year. The fifth meeting of the third five-year period of its operation (April 1984 to March 1989) was held on June 23-24, 1988, in Anchorage, Alaska.
