SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES

The Treatment Program Area of the U.S.-Japan Cooperative Cancer Research Program continues to direct its attention to a broad range of therapeutic topics, including new chemotherapy, combined modality approaches, biochemical pharmacology, and application of modern medical technologies. Chief emphasis remains on scientific seminars and an exchange of scientists in selected areas. During the past year, three seminars were held dealing with bone marrow transplantation, neoadjuvant and adjuvant therapy, and biochemical pharmacology of treatment failure.
