SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES

The Treatment Program Area of the US-Japan Cooperative Cancer Research Program continues to direct its attention to a broad range of therapeutic topics including new chemotherapy, radiation therapy, biologic response modifiers, and combined modality approaches. Chiefly, emphasis remains on scientific seminars and an exchange of scientists in selected areas. During the past year, three seminars were held dealing with Combined Modality Approaches with Chemotherapy and Radiation Therapy, Clinical Trials Methodology, and Regional Chemotherapy and Drug Development Issues.
