ADMINISTRATIVE REPORT

This report summarizes activities of the United States-Japan Cooperative Cancer Research Program for the Japanese Fiscal Year 1981, the period between April 1, 1981 and March 31, 1982.
The Program consists of the following program areas and sub-areas:

The names of the Program Coordinators and Principal Advisors appointed by the implementing agencies appear in pages 127-128.
The types of activities supported under the auspices of the Program are (1) seminars, (2) exchange of scientists, and (3) exchange of materials. The table and lists presented below indicate the activities of each program area during this reporting period, and the following chapter of "Program Area Report" describes in detail the objectives, achievements and future plans for each program area.
To discuss policy matters and program activities, the Joint Steering Committee of the Program meets once every year. Following the first meeting in San Francisco on May 24-25, 1979 and the second meeting in Nara on June 10-11, 1980, the third meeting was held in Annapolis on June 1-2, 1981. Minutes of the Third Joint Steering Committee Meeting is included in pages 93-108.
