Transparent oxide optoelectronic materials have become essential elements in the implementation of multimedia in communications in recent years. As such, the committee’s goal is to encourage advances in the field of transparent oxide optoelectronic materials through a combination of material research into transparent, highly conductive oxides and optical fiber and planar waveguide devices; seed research into composite and thin film production process science along with exploration of physical properties and functions; and applied research primarily related to materials manufacturing and device creation technologies. Also, the committee aims to promote and support new applications for these materials that create sustainable scientific research.
