Aims and Goals

Thin film technology has advanced so remarkably that atomic level-control is possible in thin film production, and the applications of thin film technology find their way into every sector of industry. For this reason, thin film technology is a major pillar that supports many pioneering technologies and that is serving as a force that pulls new development in industrial production technologies ahead.

Under this recognition, this committee primarily aims to provide the latest knowledge and information to companies utilizing or planning to utilize thin film technology. The committee’s further aim is to contribute to the dissemination of thin film technology, educate and support young researchers and engineers, promote international exchanges in this field, and promote further development in thin film technology by undertaking joint industry-academia research activities, such as project studies.
