Aims and Goals
This committee originated from the JSPS 23rd Committed on Small and Mid-size Businesses, which was active from 1938 through 1941. The current 118th Committee was launched in March 1948.
This committee aims to conduct wide-ranging research related to small and medium-sized enterprises that focuses on the relationships between these enterprises and industrial structures.
There have been particularly remarkable changes in the environment surrounding small and mid-sized enterprises in recent years. The objective of this committee is to take these trends into consideration and analyze the essence of small and medium-sized businesses from a variety of angles in terms of both policies and management.
