Aims and Goals

By facilitating cooperation between academia and industry, the committee aims to serve a central role in a wide range of fields that includes the processing, evaluation, and recycling of materials and new materials—including metals, inorganic substances, and some organic materials—and the resolution of environmental issues that derive from manufacturing processes.

Research Themes

1. Non-ferrous metal smelting technologies (Subcommittee 1)
2. Technologies related to new materials (Subcommittee 2)
3. Environmental technologies (Subcommittee 3)
4. Promotion of links between academia and industry (Academia-Industry Liaison Promotion Subcommittee)
5. Activities related to the research society’s plans for the future (Steering Committee)
