1. What prompted you decide to participate in the "JSPS Science Dialogue" program?

I agreed that this program could be a great opportunity to give to students a direct contact with researches and increase they interest for sciences.

2. To what did you give greatest attention in preparing and giving the lecture?

To make the presentation interesting and easily understandable for high school students and outline the importance of our research field.

3. Did you find it difficult to give a lecture in English to Japanese students? Could you give some advice to future lecturers on how to facilitate communication with Japanese students?

I did not find special difficult to give the lecture in English, students were highly motivated and previously I provided a list of vocabularies for the most important words. Talk slowly and make a previous list is highly recommendable.

4. Could you give your impression with regard to participating in this program?

I have a very positive impression, especially concerning JSPS staff preparation and High Schools Teachers motivation.

5. Was it meaningful in terms of your fellowship activities?

Yes, I feel my skills were improved and allowed me to know better the Japanese Educational system.

6. In what ways do you think the students benefited from the program?

They can recognize the importance of English as main communication language in Science, and I want to think that may be they could get some inspiration about what they want to study.

7. Could you give some overall advice or comments to future participants in the program?

This is a great opportunity for the JSPS fellows to improve educational skills. We thank you again for your kind cooperation in this endeavor, and wish you every success in your important research.
