Comments from Dr. Shohael

1. What prompted you decide to participate in the "JSPS Science Dialogue" program?

Promptly after I invited for this program.

2. To what did you give greatest attention in preparing and giving the lecture?

First of all it was a great opportunity to share experience with Japanese high school students and to learn their future plan and thinking about advance plant science. I tried to wake up their interest in plant science especially in plant tissue culture.

3. Did you find it difficult to give a lecture in English to Japanese students? Could you give some advice to future lecturers on how to facilitate communication with Japanese students?

I think Japanese students are able to understand simple and slowly speaking English with figurative power point slides.

4. Could you give your impression with regard to participating in this program?

I am very much happy to have such a great opportunity, thank you JSPS for arranging very nice program.

5. Was it meaningful in terms of your fellowship activities?

Of course it was

6. In what ways do you think the students benefited from the program?

Students will keep touch with advance scientific research; this program will help them to decide to continue higher studies in various research fields. Definitely they will inspire for future science learning.

7. Could you give some overall advice or comments to future participants in the program?

I think all overseas fellow should try to join this program.
