1. What prompted you decide to participate in the "JSPS Science Dialogue" program?
Interest in participating Japanese High School Program. Especially I was enthusiastic to get Japanese experience.
2. To what did you give greatest attention in preparing and giving the lecture?
Clear understanding to high-school student.
3. Did you find it difficult to give a lecture in English to Japanese students? Could you give some advice to future lecturers on how to facilitate communication with Japanese students?
I tried to give very simple English explanation as advised by my host researcher.
4. Could you give your impression with regard to participating in this program?
I am very impressed with the program. It was very nice and happy experience to participate.
5. Was it meaningful in terms of your fellowship activities?
Yes, it is memorable for my fellowship period.
6. In what ways do you think the students benefited from the program?
They were able to get some idea about Sri Lanka and also research related to constructed wetlands. Also they will think about protecting environment for better future life.
7. Could you give some overall advice or comments to future participants in the program?
I think it will need to pay attention to introducing research and cultural matters in a very simple way. Main expectation is finally to get a clear understanding about the content.
