1. What prompted you decide to participate in the "JSPS Science Dialogue" program?
I feel it is such an opportunity to introducing my country to Japanese children and youth.
2. To what did you give greatest attention in preparing and giving the lecture?
I focused more on visual instead of having much writings on the PPT, particularly, because I was speaking in English. I think the audio was helpful as well. And try to figure out which topics regarding Brazil may be of their interest.
3. Did you find it difficult to give a lecture in English to Japanese students? Could you give some advice to future lecturers on how to facilitate communication with Japanese students?
I think it will be helpful if students have the content presentation in advance. And then they can check words and prepare themselves for Q&A session.
I feel students quite reserved and miss more intercommunication.
4. Could you give your impression with regard to participating in this program?
I'm keen on this kind of exchange, and we would be doing again as far as the schedule is at our convenience.
5. Was it meaningful in terms of your fellowship activities?
As I've been researching on Coaching Education and the coaches' content knowledge and pedagogical competencies, the present experience has touched the field somehow in terms of educational strategies and motivation for learning.
6. In what ways do you think the students benefited from the program?
I think in the Globalization times it is fundamental that people share and exchange internationally. It helps to understand and accept each other cultural differences.
7. Could you give some overall advice or comments to future participants in the program?
Have some previous meetings with the school teacher to know particular areas of students' interests.
