1. What prompted you decide to participate in the "JSPS Science Dialogue" program?
Immediately upon receiving the news from the JSPS Science Dialogue section.
2. To what did you give greatest attention in preparing and giving the lecture?
My immediate response to the offer shows my great enthusiasm and attention towards delivering the lecture.
3. Did you find it difficult to give a lecture in English to Japanese students? Could you give some advice to future lecturers on how to facilitate communication with Japanese students?
It would have been difficult, if had I not been added the Japanese translation of difficult English terms. I am, therefore, thankful to my Japanese lab fellow who appeared to be very helpful at this occasion. Thanks are also due to the patience and respect of the young Japanese Students. In future kindly advise the JSPS fellows to deliver the presentation by adding Japanese vocabulary of difficult English terms.
4. Could you give your impression with regard to participating in this program?
It was a wonderful experience for me and I enjoyed a lot by communicating directly with the Japanese students. JSPS should be given great credit for starting such type of programs.
5. Was it meaningful in terms of your fellowship activities?
It is very important for me to visit different places of Japan and interact with the people. The people of academic institution are of particular interest for me to meeting and learning. I hope in the long run it will give me great confident in communicating again with Japanese people in future.
6. In what ways do you think the students benefited from the program?
The students at least came to know about Pakistan and its culture. They understood something about research going on in my area at Tokyo Tech. I am sure they will develop their minds to some extent about their futures based on the information I rendered to them.
7. Could you give some overall advice or comments to future participants in the program?
I recommend every new fellow to participate in this program and should try to deliver the best of their work to the Japanese High School Students.
