1. What prompted you decide to participate in the "JSPS Science Dialogue" program?
The main reason was to experience the atmosphere of Japanese high school and to meet the students.
2. To what did you give greatest attention in preparing and giving the lecture?
I tried to choose the most interesting things to speak about which could seem attracting to the students. During the talk I tried (but failed) to speak slowly and clearly.
3. Did you find it difficult to give a lecture in English to Japanese students? Could you give some advice to future lecturers on how to facilitate communication with Japanese students?
It wasn't difficult for me to give a talk, but for the students to understand. I would suggest to other fellows to speak slowly and choose only simple scientific topics.
4. Could you give your impression with regard to participating in this program?
I enjoyed the lecture very much just for the possibility to visit and experience the Japanese high school.
5. Was it meaningful in terms of your fellowship activities?
I wouldn't call it meaningful, but very interesting and enjoyable activity.
6. In what ways do you think the students benefited from the program?
I hope it was interesting for them and that they understood what I was talking about (I'm looking forward to see the student's questionnaire) .I also hope I showed them that science can be interesting and enjoyable.
7. Could you give some overall advice or comments to future participants in the program?
I think that this program is well organized and does not need any improvement. I do not know if the time for the lecture is fixed or could be longer, but the 45 minutes I had was not enough.
