1. What prompted you decide to participate in the "JSPS Science Dialogue" program?
I felt, being a JSPS post-doctoral fellow I am a part of JSPS, and should make some scientific contribution to the cause of JSPS.
2. To what did you give greatest attention in preparing and giving the lecture?
Simplicity of presentation and to be more demonstrative with pictorial presentation for better understanding by the students.
3. Did you find it difficult to give a lecture in English to Japanese students? Could you give
Yes. It would be better that lecture material may be prepared in Japanese (with the help of Japanese colleagues) and hand over the material to students well in advance. This may help the students to expect what they are going to listen during the lecture.
4. Could you give your impression with regard to participating in this program?
It is an experience to share our knowledge with the students. It was surprising that even though students knew that the lecture is in English; they were enthusiastic about the lecture.
5. Was it meaningful in terms of your fellowship activities?
Yes, it gave an opportunity to introduce a new area of scientific work to the students.
6. In what ways do you think the students benefited from the program?
May be the students will start exploring new developments in science.
7. Could you give some overall advice or comments to future participants in the program?
Make the lecture simpler and if possible some time to tell the students about your country.
