1. What prompted you decide to participate in the "JSPS Science Dialogue" program?

I like teaching very much. It also gave me the opportunity to get in touch with education system in Japan. I also get to meet new people and visit different places.

2. To what did you give greatest attention in preparing and giving the lecture?

The level of student and the way my presentation should be conducted so that students get the most benefit.

3. Did you find it difficult to give a lecture in English to Japanese students? Could you give some advice to future lecturers on how to facilitate communication with Japanese students?

It was not difficult as long as an interpreter is available to help both presenter and students communicate with each other.

4. Could you give your impression with regard to participating in this program?

I appreciate it very much. It is all the way a successful program.

5. Was it meaningful in terms of your fellowship activities?

Absolutely, after all one needs to reflect on his/her research with different categories of people and finding a way to make one`s ideas understandable is really important.

6. In what ways do you think the students benefited from the program?

I think students understand more if one uses pictures and animations rather than a mer diagrams and graphs.

7. Could you give some overall advice or comments to future participants in the program?

I urge all of you to participate in this program for the benefit of both of you.
