1. What prompted you decide to participate in the "JSPS Science Dialogue" program?
To share my knowledge with Japanese high school students, not only it can enhance the students' interest in science, but also it can be a good experience for me.
2. To what did you give greatest attention in preparing and giving the lecture?
During preparation of this lecture, I tried my best to make the presentation slides vividly and attractively. I used some pictures, movies and animations that are easy to understand to describe the complicated part in the slides. And I was speaking slowly and clearly to make myself understood during presentation.
3. Did you find it difficult to give a lecture in English to Japanese students? Could you give some advice to future lecturers on how to facilitate communication with Japanese students?
It is not so difficult to give the lecture. To better express yourself, the lectures should prepare the slides with attractive pictures and animations. And during presentation, it's better to speak slowly and clearly, and if possible, to show some simple experiments.
4. Could you give your impression with regard to participating in this program?
It was interesting and impressive and it was really a good experience for me.
5. Was it meaningful in terms of your fellowship activities?
Definitely it was meaningful.
6. In what ways do you think the students benefited from the program?
I hope that they could learn new knowledge in science and they could get benefits from my research experience. And to contact foreigners closely, the students are expected to know different tradition and different cultures.
7. Could you give some overall advice or comments to future participants in the program?
During preparation, future participants should get suggestions and comments from host professor, colleagues and high school teacher. It will be helpful for the lecture.
