On a frequency of about once every two months, an orientation program is held for recently arriving Fellows under JSPS’s Postdoctoral Fellowships of Foreign Researchers (standard) Program. At the orientations, lectures are given by specialists on a variety of useful subjects, including Japan’s science administration system, JSPS’s activities, Japanese language learning and Japan’s cultural landscape, and helpful points on working in a Japanese research group.
