The 18th Meeting of the Korea-Japan Joint Committee for Basic Scientific Research organized by KOSEF & JSPS
On June 4, 2008, the 18th Meeting of the Korea-Japan Joint Committee for Basic Scientific Research* was held in Gyeongju, Korea. In the committee meeting, members from both countries met to review the previous year’s Joint Research Project/Seminar activities, select new ones for this year and discuss future scientific cooperation between Japan and Korea.

Amongst the bilateral programs with various countries, JSPS and KOSEF have been cooperating closely since 1991, having set up a joint committee which consists of seven fields: Mathematics & Physics; Chemistry and Material Sciences; Biology; Informatics & Mechatronics; Geo-Science & Space Science; Medical Science; and Humanities.
