Japan-India Science and Technology Initiative Meeting was held.

Japan-India Science and Technology Initiative Meeting (sponsored by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and JSPS; cooperated by Department of Science and Technology, India) was held at Mita Kaigisho on October 16th and 17th, 2006. This meeting was based on “Eight-fold Initiative for Strengthening Japan-India Global Partnership” which had been agreed with between the former prime minister of Japan, Junichiro Koizumi and the prime minister of India, Manmohan Singh. At this meeting, administrative persons and researchers from both countries exchanged the view on possibility of collaboration in science and technology between Japan and India. Based on the agreeemnt of this meeting, joint research projects will be planed and conducted in next year.
